Imran Tahir's Iconic Celebration Against Pakistan Has Officially Replaced The Angry Pakistan Uncle Meme

South Africa’s Imran Tahir has become the internet’s new favorite meme.

Mohammad Imran Tahir is a South African cricketer who was born in Lahore, Pakistan. The 4o-year-old sportsman happens to be the oldest person to be playing in the Cricket World Cup this year. And last night, while his team lost his performance was spectacular and received a standing ovation from the crowd at the Lord’s stadium.

 

Imran Tahir managed to break South Africa’s record for taking the most wickets in a Cricket World Cup and his celebrations after he took wickets made people happier than his actual wickets

He eventually go turned into a meme.

This isn’t the first meme to emerge out of the Cricket World Cup 2019 for Pakistanis. For the last few weeks, the Angry Uncle Meme has been circulating around the internet. And has even made it on to t-shirts. Such is the power of a good meme.

 

Imran Tahir’s iconic running after he took his wickets is what inducted him into the world of cricket memes. And Pakistanis had a field day making memes for the South African sportsman.

 

Memes of him being spotted in different places around Pakistan are going around

 

Or comparing him to professional sprinters

 

He made it all the way to Chakwal

 

And even came in between Shahrukh Khan and Deepika

 

He even took a quick detour through Kohat

 

And finally, he got on a plane back to South Africa according to this meme.

Honestly, cricket fans never disappoint when it comes to making memes. Almost every other match during this World Cup has proven to provide us with good material for memes.
