Apparently, the family has a home on Ravi road.
A few days some pictures of a family sleeping on a roadside went viral.

The family was sleeping next to their wares and a lot of people thought the images were heart-wrenching and wanted the family to be helped immediately and that is exactly what happened.
Umer Hussain, the founder, and director at Sweet Tooth came across the family on 6th November 2018 when he was cycling to work. He had an entire conversation with the father, threatening to take the children away since he was not caring for them properly.
But the conversation did not really have any effect and Umer left exasperated with him and the authorities in place such as emergency services who refused to help.

The father revealed to Umer that he earned PKR 1000-1500 per day; something Umer could not match if he gave him a job. Umer did not feel right about the entire situation and ended up visiting the family again the next day, asking the father to change his life around and stop using the children.
Now another NPO, called Seek, posted a video of the father with his children being removed from the roadside by the police because he is a ‘fraud’. The NPO claims that the father has a day job which is why he is never available at the spot during daytime and only appears with his children at night.
According to the NPO, their team member went to the spot himself and verified that they are faking it and have a place to live on Ravi road but appear to be sleeping on the roadside to garner sympathy from passersby so they can earn money.
This person on mall road, LHR along with his kids has been viral on social media for past few days, Our team member Mubashir visited him just now for investigation and support but unfortunately this guy is fraud and professional who is using these kids to gain sympathy and making money this way. Police was called and he was threatened not to bring kids in cold next time. There is a lot of scepticism in the country relating to homeless people and beggars because of past cases where people were caught in the act of lying. And it is no secret that children are often exploited in these situations. But that does not mean that this family was beyond help and should not have been helped.
And like Umer showed, there was indeed a way to help them to get their life sorted. And now Umer is helping to pay for the children’s education at a local school and is accepting donations for clothes at any branch of Sweet Tooth in case anyone wants to contribute.

We are all incredibly quick to judge and put labels on one another but Umer went beyond that. While he knew the children were being exploited for sympathy by their father, he went above and beyond to help the father realize that they could indeed have a better life without him resorting to using his children the way he was.
Instead of making a quick video on how the man was a ‘fraud’, Umer looked deeper into the entire story and managed to help a family.
Umer is taking an active part in the lives of these children and is even posting live updates of what the young ones are up to. It is truly heartwarming.
