Technically, today is Day 3 of Bakra Eid, but you might have noticed that all the bakra bleating in your neighborhood has been replaced by that distinct smell of raw meat. Many of you may have already indulged in barbecue dinners or meaty lunch parties with your friends and family. Today is more about recharging for the week ahead and getting back into routine.
We scoured for what some of you, and our Muslim brethren around the world feasted on, this Bakra Eid. Enjoy.
Eid Mornings were about some hearty breakfast:
While some chose international fare.
Others preferred desi khaaba to start the festivities.
Anyone at this breakfast must have had a very hard time leaving this stunning view behind.
And then this happened:
Everyone took part in the act of qurbani even if you didn’t actually do it. There was the meat distribution, working in the kitchen or simply helping out to finish all the dishes that were especially prepared from the sacrificial meat 😉
The food was a lavish affair:
Meat in a pulao, especially if it’s Kabuli, is LOVE.
Some of you decided to eat out:
Why you would get food from frozen meat on a day when fresh one is everywhere, is confounding.
