Tariq Aziz passed on today
”Dekhti Ankhon aur suntey kanon ko Tariq Aziz ka salam”. This sentence is etched in the memory of every 90s child. Unfortunately, the creator of this iconic line passed away today at the age of 84. The legend has ruled Neelam Ghar for ages and was definitely the pioneer of the game shows we watch today. Sadly, he is no more within us.

"Dekhti aankhon suntay kaano" .. aaj jese Pakistan Tv ke sir se kisi buzurg ka saaya uth gaya. A few faces make us feel as if the time stands still, their presence makes us belief that still we have a connection to our past, they are the reminiscences of timelessness, like moon, sun and fragrances attached to flowers. The legend, the institution, the trendsetter, an era in himself, the poet, the undisputed king of gameshows , the inaugral voice of PTV, Tariq Aziz Sahab was certainly one of them who made us believe that still we have affinity with rapidly blurring hues and fading colours of yesterday. R.i.P Sir!!! Aap jesa koi ab koi nahi aaye ga. "Hum wo syaah bakht hain tariq ke sheher mein .. Kholain dukaan kafan ki to sub merna chhor den". Inna Lillahe Wa Inna Elehe Rajeoon.
Usman Mukhtar was all praise for the style, energy, and delivery of Tariq Aziz sahab

This is an emotional post for me. I looked up to this man since I was a kid, like a lot of us. I emulated him throughout my life. He was the first game show host of Pakistan to set a benchmark of excellence. His style of delivery, his voice, his energy, his personality everything will be remembered in our best memories. Thank you for decades of you service to your citizens Mr Aziz. May Allah bless him with Jannah. And in his own sign of style, Pakistan Zindabad. #tariqaziz #Rip
What an absolutely saddening loss. An era of ethics, knowledge, sober conduct, culture, and norms comes to end with his demise. Mr. Aziz groomed more than three generations of Pakistanis. The knowledge we gained from Neelam Ghar is still in our memories. May he rest in peace. We extend our deepest condolences to all the people grieving.
