The Solis Festival is one of the most anticipated events for Pakistanis who want to party. Bringing international artists to Pakistan, Solis promises a night like no other. And the same promise applied to Solis in Islamabad.
However, this time around, Solis in Islamabad allegedly shut down as people fought, the stage broke and the music stopped
Allegedly, the tickets sold for the festival were more than the capacity of the venue. As people continued to flow in, they were stopped by goons who told them not to use the VIP section as it was full. This led to a wave of fury among the crowd as they felt cheated because they weren’t getting what they paid for. Many allegedly forced their way in resulting in total chaos.

Extremely disappointed with this event and its performance, if you cant house so many people why sell so many tickets? A waste of time and money

Well if #solis management cant handle a crowd then why tickets were sold to people more than capacity of siting arrangements? This event meant to just mint money? Many people called and said how they were looted in name of VIP tickets. Not allowed entry rather thugs insulted them. https://t.co/4Ons60iKbS

I am told a ticket sold @Rs10000 but now those who paid mone were pushed, threatened and insulted. These Solis goons know no one can touch them. Some friends called me to lodge protest against this attitude. #Solis event managers are actually defaming otherwise good name of #PNCA https://t.co/4Ons60iKbS

Apparently, the event was horribly mismanaged, as per the accounts of those in attendance
Many people have recounted that it all happened when a person allegedly got on stage and announced that the event won’t be happening. The exact reason behind this is unknown.

Solis was the most pathetic management of a show I’ve ever seen. They should fully refund everyone who paid for a ticket. #fucksolis

Solis islamabad was such a disaster, shouldn’t have even attended it .The management couldnt control anything. The event was cancelled around 9 pm after one international performance. Total wastage of time and money…#solisislamabad

A lot of criticism has been directed towards the people who attended the festival.
#Solis: So Pindi boys broke into venue, without passes, crashed VIP enclosure & VIP Dance floor, went backstage. Management stopped music & requested people to leave backstage. People didn’t. They stopped the show abruptly. Fault of people.

So apparently new EDM scene in Islamabad was hitting the high, till today when at Solis the crowd hit the high. Poor management and indeed clusters of bad crowd.#solis #islamabad #edm
The mob comprised of not more than a dozen people. Sad aftermath. pic.twitter.com/wlNLwPH3L9

This is video of people throwing bottles at performers. Pakistanis, don’t deserve events like this. If Dannic, Mike Villiams, Julian Jordan & FDVM are coming, performing in your country, you should respect that. What message these artists will take, if they are harrassed? #SOLIS https://t.co/4z0S858rHD pic.twitter.com/55OybL9pJj

Additionally, while this isn’t confirmed, some people claim that a person lost their life at the event.
Summary of Solis Islamabad: Music was stopped at 10 pm which resulted in someone from the crowd crashing the setup, a riot broke out, someone lost their life and alot of people ended up at the hospital. A big fuck you to the management.
