Actress Hareem Farooq is the latest celebrity to fall victim to cyber bullying. After celebrities like Armeena and Bushra came under attack and commendably responded, Hareem has followed suit. She and fellow actor Osman Khalid Butt have been close friends for what feels like a lifetime – the two speak very fondly of one another, and are often seen together for the most part, and after Hareem reposted Osman’s picture of the both of them, a few comments were far from pleasant.
Osman took to Instagram to post both their celebratory poses for Independence day, it became the target of tremendous hate
Hareem reposted the picture onto her own account, and things took a turn for the worst when trolls (some whose comments have now been deleted) attacked the post.
While some resorted to verbal abuse
And commented on Hareem ‘defend[ing]’ herself in her alleged ‘begharat‘ pose
Hareem thought it best to respond to all the hate
She correctly projected no one had the right to judge another, and gave a rather upbeat response where she affirmed that the very trolls who couldn’t help but share their hatred for the actress were the same ones who were bathed in hypocrisy. She ended the message with a splendid #liveandletlive and a savage #getalife.
Fans took to the comments section to defend the actress in what was a harmless picture and couldn’t understand all the fuss
They agreed with ‘each to their own,’ and that anyone has the right to do as they please without any hurtful comments thrown their way
Many commended the actress for a solid response
And also poured out their adoration for her
And fellow best friend Osman
With some fans responding rather directly to the haters,
Others assured Hareem that bullies lack the didactic moral compass and urged her not to dwell
Hareem then heartily thanked all the comments that supported her statement
What did you think of Hareem’s response?
