Hamza Ali Abbasi Just Told Trolls To STFU About Iqra And Yasir's Kisses

By Iman Zia | 9 Jul, 2019

Hamza Ali Abbasi has come under fire for supporting Yasir and Iqra’s public display of affection after the LSA proposal that went viral.

Hamza Ali Abbasi came to the defense of Yasir Hussain and Iqra Aziz’s proposal at the Lux Style Awards on Sunday evening, after their public display of affection garnered massive criticism online for alleged immorality.

The public proposal was denounced for ‘vulgarity’ by viewers, however, Hamza quickly took to Twitter to defend the couple by quoting Hadiths.

Hamza pleaded, “in an era when ppl prefer haraam over halal, how can U find faults in a man asking a woman for nikkah? Bcz he hugged her or kissed her on the cheek? STOP IT! Instead, celebrate the good… Heartiest congrats to Yasir & Iqra. May Allah bless u both in ur new journey.”

Twitter users called out Hamza’s reference to Hadiths and accused him of hypocrisy.

While we cannot comment from a religious perspective, a marriage proposal with PDA is honestly completely okay – it’s being blown unnecessarily out of proportion, and what should have been a moment to celebrate a new chapter in two peoples’ lives has faltered into a national debacle.
