Meera jee always leaves one in awe. She’s often the subject of both playful and harmful mockery, be it if she says something a little questionable in an interview, sings something a wee bit off key or just…well acts like Meera. She oozes content, and we mean that in the most delightful way because she’s just so wonderfully entertaining. However, at times jokes about the actress can sometimes come off as distasteful, rash and unjust. One such situation was during esteemed actor Faysal Qureshi’s morning show ‘Salaam Zindagi.’
Faysal had invited actress Saida Imtiaz on his morning show, where he did a rapid-fire round and asked her to describe famous personalities with one word

The actress was asked to describe Meera jee and used the word “dictionary” for her
Saida also referred to Maya Ali as “item number,” Shahroz Sabzwari as “selfie king” and Ahmed Ali Butt as “London Queen.”

Faysal’s response to this was very unexpected, and not taken lightly at all
It was when the television host responded to “dictionary” by passing on a nasty comment, saying that if he were to take a dictionary from her then that would be an even bigger issue.

People didn’t appreciate the shade thrown at Meera’s language (when he basically implied that if she didn’t have a dictionary with her than she’d be incapable of expressing herself)

Many said that this was an unfair dig at the actress, that too on live television

With a few really pissed

Some tagged Faysal’s official Instagram account, condemning what he said on live television and calling it a “cheap act”

Many indicated they had lost respect for the actor
