The reason given was that a huge number (300,000 to be precise) of Pakistanis are already present in Dubai and the government can accommodate no more.

Allegedly, this news was also confirmed by Chairman Travel Agents Association Naeem Sharif. All the applications which were sent in on this Monday were rejected and the embassy was pushing people to not send in more, until later in January.

The government of Dubai has just confirmed that the party is still on and the news making rounds on social and mainstream media is absolutely fake
Speaking to Khaleej Times, the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs of Dubai said “Visitors from Pakistan are welcome to enter Dubai after obtaining a visa. The situation is normal.”
