Gutted for Naseem Shah. Biggest moment of his life so far and his mother is gone right before it. Huge loss. Should be sent back home if needed tbh. He is just 16.

Both Australia A and Pakistan are wearing black arm-bands as a mark of respect for the passing away of Naseem Shah's mother; Australia A offered Pakistan option to substitute Naseem for another player. The loss of a parent is obviously very hard. What the 16-year-old Naseem may be going through right now is obviously imaginable for us. The circumstances around his mother’s passing are truly heartbreaking and it’s a loss we can’t even begin to imagine about. But he has clearly been strong through this entire time. Here’s praying that Naseem and his family are able to come together in strength and go through these trying times with their heads held high. May Naseem’s mother rest in peace.
