He was a commendable leg spinner and later became a commentator and Chief Selector for the Pakistan Cricket Board.
Cricket called him “a master of the leg-spin” and sit was said that he “mastered the googlies, the flippers, the leg-breaks and the topspins.” Richie Benaud included him in his Greatest XI shortlist of an imaginary cricket team from the best players around the world and the Former English captain, Graham Gooch said that “Qadir was even finer than Shane Warne.”
The iconic bowler passed away in Lahore due to a cardiac arrest.
The former cricketer died on his way to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack, his son Salman Qadir confirmed. He was shifted to Services Hospital after the heart attack but unfortunately, he could not survive.

This is sad news. Qadir bought leg spin back into test cricket at a time when it was thought it no longer had a place in the game. https://t.co/HFtxMhTcpS
