CII Chairman was on Waseem Badami’s show when he stated that the punishment for rapists is actually a punishment for their wives.
The castration solution proposed by PM Imran Khan as a punishment for rapists has ignited a debate on social media platforms. People have been trying to assess the feasibility of the step suggested and amidst all this, religious scholars have given their input too. Well, their stance regarding the castration has left the masses in confusion who are now trying to figure out the logic behind it.
While in conversation with Waseem Badami, the chairman of the Council of Islamic Ideology (CII), Dr. Qibla Ayaz, stated that the punishment for rapists, in reality, is a punishment for the wife of the rapist
He tried to explain that in case the rapist is married, upon being castrated, his wife will have to bear the consequences. In his own words, “na mard wali saza banany ka yeh masla hai kay woh shakhs shaadi shuda hai tau iss kay saath aisa karnay say tau asl saza biwi ko milay ge.”
“نامرد بنانے والی سزا میں یہ مسئلہ ہے کہ اگر وہ شخص شادی شدہ ہے تو اس کے ساتھ ایسا کرنے سے اصل سزا تو اس کی بیوی کو ملے گی۔”

They argued that a wife wouldn’t want to stay with a rapist
Having to live with a vile man is not saza? No sane woman would want to live with such a man once they know the reality.
What a shame are these people selling Islam. https://t.co/f5CfAWv1wj

Umm no thankyou. No wife likes staying with a husband who is a rapist, let alone share the bed with him. Don't try to score points using the same women that you fail to provide justice to and the women you abuse. https://t.co/nh1ew20DzR

I don't think she would ever prefer to be a rapist's wife 😑 https://t.co/s8z8XtKBGy

People mentioned that they should not use other women to gain sympathies for rapists
translation : we shouldn't hold men accountable for their actions. here is a shitty reason which includes a woman to evoke pity in hearts of people https://t.co/DHxnDoo4s3

They could not believe the excuse given by the chairman
Imagine how horrendous this excuse is that he Faisal Vawda nods his head in shame https://t.co/qypdYhj3NZ

People were shocked at the assumption that it was fine for a woman to live with a rapist
They said that being the wife of a rapist is a punishment in itself.
I mean..yes! Not really a surprise!
1- Desi men can get away with any shit!
And
2- Mashriqi bivi still has to continue living with a rapist “Mizaji Khuda” 🤮 https://t.co/OE2oP1v768— Mala's Fury 🏳️🌈 (@Pablo_Sheikh) September 18, 2020
As if being a wife of the rapist, you think was not a punishment itself? https://t.co/I8sWUeXSDH

What are your thoughts on this? Do you really think that a woman would want to stay with a husband who has been proven as a rapist? Moreover, can this logic be used to justify the annulment of castration as a punishment? Let us know everything in the comments below.
