‘Game of Thrones’ ended about a month ago and left fans across the world massively disappointed. For a lot of people (including me), the biggest let down was the death of the show’s villain, Cersei Lannister. She was literally killed by a falling wall of bricks; what an interesting metaphor for how fans felt about the last season.
Since the show ended, the actors have come out with statements explaining the season and TRYING to make it seem alright.
Some of them are also talking about how they were also left disappointed with the script. Even with all of that happening, it should be remembered that it doesn’t take away from the last season being bad.
One of the actors to recently join in on this statement train is Lena Headey, the actor who plays Cersei.
Her first statement was about how she felt after Cersei’s death. Much like all of us, she did not like the way the character of Cersei had ended and did not really like how she died. She also revealed a major detail about her character from season seven.
According to Headey, the writers of the show had initially written that Cersei was pregnancy and had also written out a scene where Cersei loses her baby. However, for whatever reason, that scene did not end up in the actual season and wasn’t even actually shot. Lena Headey said that she felt this twist would have created a twist in the storyline and would also have helped audiences better understand Cersei’s actions in the last season. It’s becoming clear with every actor that is coming forward that the script for the last season did not match expectations.
You can hear it for yourself here:

Fans of the show were quick to point fingers at the writers.
this also confirms that d&d had an entirely different ending for the show but their obsession with "subverting expectations" got them here https://t.co/wfWdmnpkPe

the sad thing is it didn't end up changing anything at all, cersei's pregnancy literally meant nothing and had zero effect on the story https://t.co/wfWdmnpkPe

Some were pretty P I S S E D.
I already knew it but having it confirmed by Lena's voice makes me FURIOUS.
SHE HAS BEEN ROBBED OF HER EMMY AND WE WERE ROBBED OF GOOD PREMISE FOR A POTENTIALLY MUCH BETTER FINAL SEASON, EYE– DON'T TOUCH ME https://t.co/t1fm4C5UrO
