Boxer prodigy Amir Khan has truly embodied the essence of Ramazan by showing his generosity toward a child in need. Despite living in the U.K. Amir has always stayed true to his Pakistani roots that have kept him close to home. British publication Daily Mail brought to light a heartbreaking story about a seven year old boy from Pakpattan district who suffers from a terrible tumor-like mass on his eye.
Ali Hassan’s tumor was identified as resinoblastoma which is a rare childhood cancer.

Sight from his right eye has completely ceased, and reports are unclear as to when the tumor formed.

A day later, Amir Khan stumbled across the news article and offered to pay for Ali’s treatment.

He swiftly took to his official page to inform his followers that his foundation would take this case up to try and save Ali.
Amir sent an agent out to meet Ali’s family to see how to proceed.

The post garnered tremendous support, with fans and non-fans alike flocking to commend Amir’s selfless gesture
While some prayed for hope that the boy be alright…

Others insisted on Amir keeping everyone updated about Ali’s treatment.

Amir’s kindness has not gone unnoticed.

And we’re relieved to know someone picked up on the original article that brought Ali’s rare condition to attention.

Some wished that there were others out there who angled their wealth towards the needy.

Here’s hoping beautiful gestures like these lead to a more helpful society for us all.
