We love Ahsan Khan, don’t get us wrong. He’s one of the finest actors we have in the industry, and we’re not buttering him up unnecessarily – from ‘Dastaan’ to ‘Udaari,’ the actor is a marvel and we have an unfading amount of respect for him (so it’s only fair we’re allowed to poke some harmless fun at him from time to time)! The actor was recently in London for the International Pakistan Prestige Awards, where he won ‘Star Of The Year’ and was busy in various press meets when the most hilarious thing happened…
BBC covered the Awards ceremony and shedding light on the recent order issued by PEMRA that our dramas were “too bold”
Actors Urwa Hocane, Mehwish Hayat, Osman Khalid Butt, Ali Kazmi, and Ahsan Khan talked about how important it was that we use our dramas to bring forth Pakistani taboos and societal issues, as dramas ‘Baaghi’ and ‘Udaari’ were highlighted.

Ahsan discussed how there should be a known difference in sensationalism and actually depicting reality when it comes to our dramas
He raised some impeccable points, and many lauded what he had to say about our growing drama industry. He expressed the need to touch on subjects that people just don’t want to talk about, and how it’s a very necessary platform to educate the masses.
However, we saw a few comments surfacing about the actor’s accent, and so we couldn’t help ourselves…
This is worse than when Ross from ‘Friends’ suddenly belted out a British accent in one episode to a class full of students LOL
We understand that Ahsan’s grown up in London and completely comprehend the fact that he’s had a soft British undertone, but it’s NEVER been this profoundly obvious, just FYI…
Take a few of his past interviews, for example!
…So when we looked back on a few of these we couldn’t help but laugh (we love you, don’t hate us pls and thanks)!
People noticed the difference that the actor was invoking a different accent than usual…
A few came up with their own really hilarious captions LOL…
With many agreeing on the oddity of the forced accent
There were a few who did appreciate what the actor had to say though…
But like, no one could get over the accent
