If you aren’t already aware, Ahsan Khan is hosting a celebrity talk show on ‘Bol Network’ (their entertainment leg has garnered significant traction, what with most of its shows spearheaded by celebrities like Danish Taimur, Hamza Ali Abbasi, and Mathira). While ‘Bol Nights’ hasn’t raked in controversy like its sister show ‘Pakistan Star,’ the former still enjoys poking celebrities to divulge personal stories that reel in audiences (and make for major goss sessions).
Ahsan quizzed guest Affan Waheed about when he’s going to be getting married. This comes after the ‘Do Bol’ star revealed details about his first marriage with Samina Peerzada.
Affan had been relatively hushed about his past, only recently revealing details about his divorce on ‘Rewind With Samina Peerzada’ and how he subsequently succumbed to depression.
Host Ahsan recently asked Affan if he’ll be getting married anytime soon, after discussing societal pressures around “bachelors.”
Ahsan stressed how in Pakistan, there is tremendous pressure on single men to get married and settle down the older they get and asked Affan how he deals with family pressure; “when are you getting married?”
Affan said he told his parents not to force him into getting married for at least the next two years before co-star Hira jumped in and insisted that he get married.
Hira pleaded that Affan was “shaadi material” and that any girl would be lucky to be married to him. She went on to jokingly coerce Affan about getting married.
Affan said that he would think about it after his next project, and insinuated that he only wanted to focus on work.
He laughed and said “thora wait kar lo abhi.” Here’s the full clip:
