With the release of The Dream, Karachi’s rising artist Shareh Akhter steps confidently into the global music landscape through a standout collaboration with Mass Appeal, the New York–based hip hop label known for championing authentic voices and cultural innovation. The partnership marks a transformative moment for both Akhter and Pakistan’s growing creative scene. The album takes its name from a personal anecdote that reflects the themes of ambition and legacy that run through Akhter’s work. As heard in his Billboard Freestyle, his grandfather once misread a billboard that read “Share the Dream,” interpreting it as “Shareh the Dream.” The moment became a defining symbol of his artistic mission and ultimately shaped the identity of the project. Beyond the music, Akhter sparked a wave of creative energy across Pakistan through the #MyLoveKarachi movement. What began as a tribute to his city evolved into a collaborative showcase of emerging talent nationwide, demonstrating his influence as both an artist and a community builder. The Dream features contributions from leading collaborators including Talha Anjum, Talhah Yunus, JJ47, Hasan Raheem and Natasha Noorani. Producers such as Jokhay, Umair, Superdupersultan and LONEWOLF help shape the project’s compelling sonic profile.
