Another year has flown by with the world still under the grip of the deadly pandemic but as life goes on people have learned to adapt. The year has proven to be happening for celebrities with many making strides in their careers while others starting a new chapter in their private lives. In 2021, many celebs got married, some in intimate ceremonies, while others went all out. This year was no different as we saw a number of celebrities tying the knot while others welcomed babies. While many abided by the COVID SOPs, others spared no expense to celebrate their big fat desi weddings.

1. Malala Yousufzai

Nobel Prize Laureate Malala Yousufzai recently tied the knot with her partner, Asser Malik, in an intimate ceremony in Birmingham. The duo celebrated their union with a simple Nikkah ceremony with close family. Malala took to her Twitter account to announce her nuptials followed by some pictures of the lovely couple.

2. Minal Khan and Ahsan Mohsin Ikram

Actress Minal Khan tied the knot with her long-term beau and actor, Ashan Mohsin Ikram, in a flashy wedding soiree. The duo shared their wedding festivities with fans and also came under fire with their honeymoon pictures. Their wedding was also well attended with various celebrities present through the festivities including Saboor Ali, Amna Iyas, Ali Ansari, and Kinza Hashmi.

3. Nadia Khan

The morning show host and actor Nadia Khan also re-married this year. The actor later announced the news on social media to her fans.

4. Zara Tareen and Faran Tahir

‘Iron Man’ famed Faran Tahir and ‘Mushk’ famed Zara Tareen also got married. The couple kept a low profile on social media with us catching a few glimpses of the festivities through family and friends including Zara’s sister and actor Hira Tareen.

5. Sohai Ali Abro

‘Motorcycle Girl’ actress Sohai Ali Abroo surprised her fans with her wedding pictures. She kept her relationship private and remained on the down-low. Her wedding announcement with Shehzar Mohammad was met with love and prayers.

6. Rehmat Ajmal

Model Rehmat Ajmal also tied the know earlier this year and the couple looked radiant together.

7. Neha Rajpoot and Shahbaz Taseer

Model Neha Rajpoot tied the knot with Shahbaz Taseer and the couple was faced with severe backlash in the aftermath.

9. Kawal Aftab and Zulqarnan Sikandar

The famous TikTok duo also had their Nikkah ceremony this year and plan to have the rest of the wedding festivities soon. Prior to the Nikkah, there were some events including a dholki and mayoon.

10. Junaid Safdar

Another wedding that made the rounds on social media was politician Maryam Nawaz’s son Junaid Safdar’s. Although the wedding took place overseas, the media was abuzz reporting about the festivities. Recently, the couple hosted their wedding reception in Lahore. A video where the groom was seen signing went viral and many praised his vocals.

11. Sarah Khan and Falak Shabbir

One of the most loved and celebrated weddings of 2020 was Sarah and Falak’s. The duo has remained in the spotlight ever since. Fans and celebrities alike cannot stop swooning over Falak’s lovely rose-giving gesture for his wife. This year, the couple was blessed with a beautiful baby girl, Alyana Falak, and fans have nothing but love and prayers for them. These three certainly make social media wholesome with little updates every now and then.

12. Zaid Ali T and Yumna Zaid 

YouTuber Zaid Ali also welcomed his son with his wife Yumna. The couple had announced their pregnancy news with fans, followed by a gender reveal. The birth of their son was also announced on social media.

13. Bakhtawar Bhutto

Daughter of late Benazir Bhutto, Bakhtawar Bhutto also welcomed her son about a month ago. Her son was named after her late maternal uncle Mir and late paternal grandfather Hakim Ali Zardari.

14. Iqra Aziz and Yasir Hussain

Fans wished the duo well when Yasir Hussain welcomed his son Kabir with actress Iqra Aziz. The duo has been keeping baby Kabir away from social media as they have not revealed his face to the world. This is pretty common among celebrities with many doing so to keep their privacy intact and others worrying about the evil eye.

15. Yasra Rizvi

Churails famed Yasra Rizvi also welcomed her baby boy Ibne Adam with her husband Abdul Hadi.
