Biryani is one of the most popular dishes in Pakistan. Okay, let me rephrase that, biryani is ‘the’ most popular dish of Pakistan. All the desis just simply love it. I have yet to find a single person who loathes biryani. There are several varieties of the dish. You have Bombay Biryani, Sindhi Biryani, Prawn Biryani, Beef Biryani all sorts.

In the past few years, people have gotten a bit carried away with their own versions of Biryani. You have Tikka Biryani for instance

It’s basically normal biryani you just throw in a tikka afterwards. I mean it’s not bad but like the tikka seems out of place.

Then there was White Biryani which according to many was more pulao than Biryani

Many saw it as an abomination and refuse to accept it as part of Biryani royalty. Even though the yellow-ness of the Biryani primarily comes from food color.

Now you have something new on the scene called Zinger Biryani

Yes, you heard that right, it’s zinger-style fried chicken in your Biryani

Given the almost sacred nature of Biryani in Pakistan, not many people were receptive to this innovation. Guess it is brought to you by the same people that gave you Tikka Biryani.

People were straight up horrified when they saw this

 The admissions committee at Biryani University should see this

Some people were baffled as to why one would even order it after reading the name
