You guys all remember Wing Commander Abhinandan, right? He was the Indian pilot who was captured by the Pakistani Air Force back in February amidst the whole Pak-India tension. And of course, he was offered chai, and later returned peacefully at the Wagha border. The whole chai video went viral and you can read about it right here.

Recently,  another video went viral in which the Wing Commander is reuniting with his colleagues.

ScoopWhoop, an Indian publication, even shared the video, writing “Back to being a national hero” in the caption.

The undated video that has been circulating the net shows the IAF pilot, Abhinandan Varthaman basically being greeted (kafi josh se) by his colleagues. He happily takes a bunch of pictures and videos with them. Abhinandan joins in with their pro-India chants. When the group has settled down a bit, and the selfies have ceased, Abhinandan tells his colleagues why he took pictures with them.

He tells them, “These pictures are for your families.”

He asks them, when they show these pictures back home, to tell their families “All the best” from his side. He tells them that many people prayed for his well being and for his health, and added: “your families were amongst them”.

His colleagues were clapping and the pictures continued once again and the Wing Commander Abhinandan left saying “Thank you very much.”

The whole interaction was super sweet and people think so too.

People are glad he’s doing well.

They even praised him for being humble.

While many are questioning why he’s being hailed as a hero in the first place…

Even Pakistanis had their two cents to share.

Well hero or not, that’s for you to choose. But all we know is – make chai, not war!
