Let’s be honest, Pakistan is full of over-the-top people.
Not that it’s always a bad thing, but when Shaadi season rolls around, as does the true meaning of decadence. Oh yeah, we’re talking destination weddings, super expensive joras, sets – the works. Pakistan’s self-proclaimed royalty does their best and the MOST to show off their opulent wealth, it’s actually quite spectacular.
But friends, it turns out that our friends across the border are giving the word, ‘opulence’ a run for its money
Isha Ambani, a member of the prominent Ambani family, just sent out her wedding invitations and friends, they cost 3 lakh (Indian rupees) EACH.
That amounts to roughly 5.5 Lakh Pakistani rupees đ±đ±đ±
JUST the invites. IMAGINE.
Videos of the invitations have been circulating and glimpses of the unboxing have revealed much more than just some mithai and venue addresses. Oh no, Ambani’s go big.
Also just some context, the Ambani family is pretty much the equivalent to our Mansha family. They are one of the wealthiest families in India. Mukesh Ambani (Isha’s dad) is worth 41.5 BILLION dollars.
Honestly, I’m probably worth like 200 rupees.
Isha is set to wed Anand Piramal, her longtime bae. The two had an elaborate engagement ceremony in Lake Como, Italy last year and are getting ready to tie the knot on December 12th of this year.
Now the wedding invites? They are pretty much the closest we’re going to get to the actual wedding and honestly, that is FINE because just watching these videos is giving us a solid taste of the extravagance.
Just look at the invitation box. Oh yeah, you read that right – BOX.
The invite was full of personal details and dedications to a number of family members. Isha and Anand even wrote a personal note to everyone invited.
And last but like LOL if you think it’s the least, another box within the first box revealed a musical box that when opened, plays the tune of the ‘Gayatri Mantra.’ Within THAT box, there are four other boxes each filled with necklaces. GOLD necklaces.
GOLD.
LIKE WOW.
Uff, so clearly, our invitation got lost in the mail and it’s probably a good thing since we would sell it for money because like, food.
But in all seriousness, if these are just the wedding invites, we can’t imagine what the actual wedding is going to be like. Here’s hoping that they have an accessible hashtag for all of us to stalk and dream.
Have you seen the invites on social media? Would you take some inspiration from them? Let us know in the comments below! Love you.
