What a song.

The Pakistan Super League officially kicked off last night in Dubai with a massive opening ceremony in the Dubai International stadium.

Cricket fans from all around the world made their way to the stands to witness some of Pakistan’s favourite and best performers take the stage. Even after a very apologetic video from Pitbull was released stating his absence from the ceremony,

And with somewhat of a wardrobe malfunction…

The event was quite impressive.

Unfortunately, one artist, in particular, is receiving quite a bit of scrutiny for her performance last night.

Aima Baig is being trolled for her rendition of ‘Disco Deewaney’ that she performed at the opening ceremony.

Trolled v hard.

Fans of the classic, originally sung by the great Nazia Hassan, had a number of things to say on Baig’s version of the song.

And of course, there were some fans who absolutely loved the performance and Aima’s tribute to Nazia Hassan.

Honestly, I liked the song and thought it was pretty catchy af but alas, Twitter is Twitter. Have a listen to the song from the opening ceremony and let us know if you like it.

Did you see the opening ceremony? What was your favourite part? Let us know what you think in the comments below! Love you.
