This Dulha’s Cringy Dance Performance For His Bride At Their Wedding Is Making Everyone Say “Lekin Kyun?”

By Biya Haq | 1 Dec, 2020

The dulha’s cringy dance is something.

Now, we here at MangoBaaz, are all about weddings.

Big, small, up in the north or down in the south – weddings are pretty much the bread and butter of living and functioning in Pakistan. Not to mention the fact that they happen literally all year long – all day, every day.

And hey, what’s not to love about big fat Desi weddings?

We have seen brides in cakes,

Brides in boats,

Like I said, what’s not to love?

But friends, we all know that everyone just goes to weddings for the dances. Oh yes, forget the Walima and forget that Baraat, the only invite most people dive straight into is Mehendi ki raat.

While dances at weddings nowadays are all about which choreographer you hired, there’s nothing like an old fashioned solo for the bride and groom. These dances are usually cute, sweet, emotional and most of the time, have a personal touch here and there – guaranteed to get some tears.

However, it seems that this groom wanted to put a little extra oomph into his step and well, it didn’t work as well…

But this dulha’s cringy dance for his bride on stage is not one of those things we love, in fact it was honestly one of the weirdest performances ever

Yep.

The groom, Umer Sohail, is one of Pakistan’s very talented designers and has had his collections shown nationwide. And though intentions for his dance seemed to be quite loving – it came off as pretty intense, instead.

The groom began by doing his thing while sitting on a stool in the middle of the dance floor and mouthing the words of the song ‘Jag Ghoomeya,’ being dramatic af.

Then came out the flaming guitar during this dulha’s cringy dance performance

Yeah, that’s right. A guitar on FIRE. How is that not a HAZARD?

The rest of the dance had Sohail tumbling across the floor, doing, well, whatever move he was doing with his hands when he shimmied to the right side of the stage.

And of course,

The big finish for this dulha’s cringy dance made us thankful

NICE.

And okay, let’s give him some credit. It takes a lot of courage to get up on stage in front of your friends, family and in-laws and perform a dance like that. ALSO! The bride is usually always the one to do a solo for her groom, so it was refreshing to see Sohail dance for his new wife all by himself up there.

We applaud his bravery for putting himself out there for the public but some things (read: dance performances) are better kept private

And it seems as though people on social media couldn’t help but question it as well.
