This Crazy “Village-Themed” Wedding Is Being Criticized By People For Promoting Animal Cruelty

By Manahil | 1 Jul, 2019

A village-themed wedding is being criticized for animal cruelty after animals and exotic birds were displayed, as if in a zoo.

The biggest way to make a statement in our society is to, of course, have the wildest wedding. They seem to be getter grander each season. We’ve seen A LOT by now. Remember the famous couple who entered on a boat? Or the bride who rode a camel into her wedding? And let’s not forget the bride who entered as part of her wedding cake. And I definitely have to mention the magic carpet,

Let me fill you in on the latest scoop. A village-themed wedding.

It might not sound all that wild, but trust me, it is. The village theme includes a bunch of different animals being showcased in the wedding setting. Including but definitely not limited to – bulls, goats, pigeons, ducks, horses, parrots, peacocks, pythons, and – wait for it – lions.

Don’t believe me? Take a look for yourself.

Oh, and you might be wondering about the entrance. It was on a tractor.

It’s definitely different if that’s what they were going for. But people aren’t impressed.

The argument for all the different wild weddings I mentioned earlier was basically “unke paisay hain, unki marzi“. And as long as the couple is happy on their big day, that’s all that matters, right? Eh. That doesn’t seem to really sit well in this situation because the couple isn’t the only unit being affected.

Animals being trapped and showcased for the entertainment of others sounds like a zoo, doesn’t it?

This wedding brings up the matter of animal cruelty. They’ve caged the animals and put them up for the guests’ entertainment. And while it may seem “extra” and “lit” it’s pretty serious. This is a living creature’s life we’re talking about. And for the duration of the wedding and transport to and from the event, it’s unlikely they were fed, let alone kept in their natural climates – and that’s only the beginning of it. It’s quite insensitive, to say the least.

If you guys want to see the video for yourself, here you go:

Animal cruelty is a major in Pakistan that stems from our lack of self-awareness or lack of empathy.

There was a ton of criticism and backlash towards model Nadia Hussain when she posed with a lion. Why can’t there be that same response when it comes to a wedding? Is impressing others really more important than the care of a living creature?

What do you guys think about this? Let me know in the comments below.
