GET READY TO CRY AN OCEAN EVERYONE BECAUSE ‘TERE NAAM’ IS RETURNING.
*cue ‘tere naam’ song on a nonstop loop*
Yes, it’s true! ‘Tere Naam’ has announced a sequel, 16 years later!!!
‘Tere Naam’ left behind quite the legacy, from Salman Khan’s iconic middle parting hairstyle, to Himesh Reshamiyya’s heartfelt music – two traits the film is still remembered for. The modern Shakespeare twist is considered to be Salman’s best role to date, and despite ending very miserably, ‘Tere Naam’ raked in a phenomenal Rs 24.5 crore worldwide, which 16 years ago was a box office blockbuster.
Indian publications have confirmed that a sequel is now all set to unfurl, with director Satish Kaushik returning for the second installment.
The makers of the sequel are in talks with Salman Khan to play the lead, however, it hasn’t been confirmed yet whether the actor will return. It is likely though, considering the director is Satish, and while Salman is still being negotiated with, a female lead has been finalized and will be announced in a few weeks. Could Salman be reprising his role as Radhe??? COULD HE?
As much as I’m excited about the sequel, let’s hope THIS hairstyle doesn’t make a comeback though…
Some things are best left behind, and honestly, this trend can stay in 2003!
Also, it’s worth remembering Sikandar Sanam in this joyous time for his epic spoof of ‘Tere Naam’ LOL!
ARE YOU EXCITED????????????
