Yesteryear, Sridevi returned to grace our screens with her brilliant ‘English Vinglish’ after a whopping fifteen-year hiatus. After such sparkling success, Sridevi was applauded for having such a triumphant comeback. Her recent release, thriller ‘Mom’ is a far cry from English Vinglish, where we see the actress dip into a darker role as the mother seeking justice for her daughter, played by Sajal Ali. The film marks Sridevi’s 300th film in her tremendous career and is the first time she worked with cross-border gems Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui. The film has had separate premieres in India and Pakistan, and unfortunately, the ensemble cast has not been able to celebrate together.

While shooting, she received word that her mother wouldn’t survive cancer she was diagnosed with.

He wished for more cross-border productions with actors and directors coalescing together from both countries.
