This Absolutely Heartfelt Message From Sridevi To Sajal Ali And Adnan Siddiqui In Karachi Will Melt Your Heart

By Iman Zia | 9 Jul, 2017

Yesteryear, Sridevi returned to grace our screens with her brilliant ‘English Vinglish’ after a whopping fifteen-year hiatus. After such sparkling success, Sridevi was applauded for having such a triumphant comeback. Her recent release, thriller ‘Mom’ is a far cry from English Vinglish, where we see the actress dip into a darker role as the mother seeking justice for her daughter, played by Sajal Ali. The film marks Sridevi’s 300th film in her tremendous career and is the first time she worked with cross-border gems Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui. The film has had separate premieres in India and Pakistan, and unfortunately, the ensemble cast has not been able to celebrate together.

Sajal Ali and Adnan Siddiqui were at the premiere of their film in Karachi when Sridevi’s heartfelt message popped up on screen

An emotional Sridevi couldn’t hold back her tears as she sent ‘Adnan jee’ and Sajal her ‘bacha’ bundles of love

The actress hasn’t been able to experience the premiere of her new film with Sajal and Adnan, gravely upsetting her as she broke down midway.

Sajal recently lost her mother earlier this year and cherishes this film very close to her heart

While shooting, she received word that her mother wouldn’t survive cancer she was diagnosed with.

Sajal expressed her adoration for Sridevi who showered her with endless love during the film’s shoot

Adnan Siddiqui was ecstatic with the warm response his film received and said he was humbled to work with Sridevi

He wished for more cross-border productions with actors and directors coalescing together from both countries.

It was an emotional night for Sajal who has grown incredibly close to the Indian actress

She thanked ‘Shri mama’ for such a lovely message.

What did you think of Sridevi’s touching message?
