Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy just won the Oscar for A Girl in the River

That makes it two for Sharmeen and two for Pakistan.

And the praise from all over Pakistan has already started pouring in.

It definitely is an interesting day for Pakistan

But why is Canada claiming Sharmeen as being one of their own? Da fuq?

She is Pakistani. Get your shit straight bruh…

This guy knows what’s up

In case you don’t know too much about the documentary, here’s the trailer

In Pakistan, unfortuantely more than a 1000 women are killed in the name of ‘honor’ in every year. A Girl in the River follows the story of a rare survivor who falls in love and lives to tell the tale.

Now let’s all do our part and help bring an end to honor killings
