Saba Qamar Just Called Out Our Society's Hypocrisy With Her Latest ‘Smoking' Hot Photoshoot

By Sarah Babar | 13 Apr, 2018

Saba Qamar has been slaying for a while, now. She’s known to always raise her voice when the time called for it. She was appreciated for taking up a role that most actresses would shy away from: that of Qandeel Baloch. And she was a big part of one of biggest films to have come out of Bollywood: “Hindi Medium”

Recently, one of her latest photoshoots has been garnering a lot of attention

While she looks pretty damn good in it, it also gives a very strong message, calling out our society’s hypocrisy

Mard peeyein toh wah ?
Hum peeyein toh haaaa ?
Tum khao toh chips ?
Hum khaain toh aaloo ?
Smoking is injurious to all, not only to women.?

She says that if a man smokes, he’s considered cool, but if a woman does the same, she will be ostracized and called out, with a series of stares from everyone in the vicinity. She also says that whether a man or a woman smokes, it’s bad for humans. The gender discrimination is only in their heads.

This takes us back to the Mahira Khan – Ranbir Kapoor controversy where Mahira was thrown under the bus for smoking in public. Another similar video was put up, recently, in yet another breach of Mahira’s privacy, and the entire state of affairs doesn’t stop getting any sadder.

And people were fully agreeing with her statement
