Saba Qamar Just Clarified She's Not Going To Be In The “Hindi Medium” Sequel

By Iman Zia | 30 Jan, 2018

After rumours arising confirmation that Saba Qamar would be appearing in her second Bollywood film, the actress spoke to an online publication to debunk all claims that she in fact was in the sequel to ‘Hindi Medium.’

Hindi Medium,’ starring Pakistani actress Saba Qamar and Indian actor Irrfan Khan was both a critical and commercial success

While Irrfan hardly shies from the less mainstream choice in Indian cinema, Saba took a slight risk venturing into a film that had less star power than say, Mahira’s ‘Raees.’ Nonetheless, the actress seized the opportunity by its horns. A few months later, and Saba has earned her first Filmfare nomination for ‘Best Actress,’ (the first of six stellar nominations for the film).

While producers for the film had confirmed Irrfan Khan would be returning for a sequel, there were questions about whether or not Saba would also be a part of the film

A few days ago rumours surfaced about Saba allegedly speaking to Associated Press Pakistan and confirming she would be in the sequel

However, the actress spoke to local publication ‘Hip In Pakistan’ to confirm that because of the ban imposed on Pakistani artists, she would not be in the sequel.
