We asked you, our ShowSha audience, what your favorite Saba Qamar drama was on our Instagram account (@therealshowsha). And while it was a tough choice for many, considering the fact that the actress has a plethora of incredibly renowned and crisply molded dramas that have toplined her as one of Pakistan’s greatest actresses, here are her best dramas, ranked by you.
We begin with the least voted drama first.
8. Hum Sab Umeed Se Hain
We all remember this gem of a segment on GEO growing up. The politically-driven satire behind the entire show was brilliantly done, as each short segment keyed in on a particular political issue at hand. It was hosted by a number of actresses like Mehwish Hayat and Fiza Ali, but Saba by far was the most entertaining one.

7. Sangat
Saba stars alongside Mikaal Zulfiqar in a terrifying story that focuses on the rape. Saba is happily married until she’s raped by someone, and she keeps it a secret, claiming to be pregnant by her husband. The drama revolves around how her life siezes to a shocking halt once DNA results prove that her husband is not the father.

6. Bunty I Love You
Saba plays a very young girl, Dania who is married off at the age of 17 to the relatively older Patel, played by Abid Ali. Without giving away spoilers, Dania is left alone after her aging husband dies, until she meets the fiery Bunty.

5. Dastaan
This drama is something else, really. By far one of the best dramas in Pakistani entertainment, Saba played Surriyah, the sweet and humble wife of Ahsan Khan in an ensemble cast with Samina Peerzada, Sanam Baloch and Fawad Khan among others. The drama is set during partition, and how it tears this beautiful little family apart.

4. Maat
This drama revolves around two sisters, played by Saba Qamar and Aamina Sheikh who belong to a lower-middle-class family, who both are entangled in a messy web of love. Saba’s character thrives on money, jealousy and wishes to marry someone incredibly rich, even if it ruins ties with her only sister, who is completely different in all entirety.

Now, for the top 3 most voted dramas!!!!
Drumroll, please…

3. Digest Writer
This drama, one of the most voted ones too, revolves around Farida, a girl who is often cast aside by her parents who favor their son. She’s ostracised from her own family as she wishes to become a Digest magazine writer with the pen name ‘Rashk-i-Hina.’ She’s determined, and her aspirations to succeed leave you with nothing but awe.

2. Besharam
This drama is phenomenal, and one of my favorite dramas of all time, being both a Zahid Ahmed fan and a Saba Qamar one. The two set the screen ablaze with their brilliant acting, with a fantastically written story about a budding, humble and zesty politician (Zahid Ahmed) who bumps into one of Pakistan’s top models, the sassy and confident Saba Qamar.

1. Baaghi
And now for the number one spot. ‘Baaghi’ was your favorite drama, with the most votes. This was Saba’s most risqué role, and she outdid herself magnificently as she played contentious media star Qandeel Baloch. It’s bloody fantastic (mind my language), and it’s all Saba. She’s the ship keeping the entire drama afloat, and while it’s ended, it’s a drama you’ll forever cherish.
