Coke Studio's Laal Meri Pat Cover Has Started A War Between Twitter Walay And Facebookiyas

By Iman Zia | 25 Aug, 2017

Quratulain Balouch has had a tremendous musical journey on Coke Studio. The rock star made her dazzling debut with ‘Panchi’ in season 4 and it’s only been up and beyond for her. After batting out brilliant hits like ‘Sammi Meri Waar’ with Umair Jaswal, or ‘Baliye (Laung Gawacha)’ with Haroon Shahid, the singer returns for the tenth season of Coke Studio. QB’s serenading melody with Kaavish, ‘Faasle’ released last week to warm embrace, and now she returns for a special solo debut with a very special song, however to mixed reactions.

However, the Twitterverse have not taken too much of a liking to the song

While some fans blamed Strings for a poor rendition

Others were upset at ‘ruin[ing]’ an ‘original item’

Many had really strong feelings against Coke Studio

The song, originally made famous by band ‘Junoon’ was a complete failure for many Pakistanis

And while many admitted why they didn’t like the song

There were many who took personal offence

Facebook, on the other hand, felt quite the opposite with people suggesting that Quratulain Balouch was the saving grace of  ‘Laal Meri Pat’
