Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar went after motorway incident protesters

The views of misogynistic writer Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar are not unknown to anyone. The writer is the personification of an incel troll who can’t handle empowered women being able to talk back to them.Well, in another display of his problematic behavior, the writer has spewed some more hate on the women who are striving hard to attain a safe environment in this country.

In a new interview, Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar just went after the motorway incident protesters

In his rather disgustingly strongly words he opposed the concept of mera jism meri marzi and disrespected the women by asking them “bhaandon ki fauj“.

It started with the host on the show asking Qamar to explain or highlight the connection between the traumatic motorway incident and the slogans for female safety that were being chanted at the motorway incident protests. Naturally, Khalil Ur Rehman responded by saying, ” yeh baap bhai say konsi azaadi mang rahi hain, inn kay baap aur bhai kahan hain aur iss say zayada inko kya azaadi chahiye hai.” He was curious to know if these women were a part of the protest after getting ‘permission’ from their father/brother.

Khalil Ur Rehman also said questioned, rather disgustingly, if the kind of freedom they want is where they can go into a room with their boyfriends and their fathers and brothers stand at guard outside.

Of course, that wasn’t all. He went on to state that these women are either holding dual nationality, are divorced or experienced a break-up recently. He clearly mentioned that women like these suffer from the middle age crisis and thus are ‘bound’ to be involved in activities like these. He concluded his statement by asking, ” konsa jism, konsi marzi.”

As expected, these remarks by Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar about the motorway incident protesters didn’t sit well with people and they questioned his sanity

They blamed the TV channel for inviting Khalil Ur Rehman knowing what his views about motorway incident protesters would be, just for ratings

People urged the audience to boycott the channels and TV shows which feature Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar to incite more controversy

A lot of them pointed out that the writer does not deserve a platform because what he says never leads to productive discourse and only serves to create further danger for women

People stated that the views of the writer are the reflection of the mindset of the misogynistic men in our society

If you’re interested in knowing the complete context of what Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar had to say about motorway incident protesters you can check it out here:

The views of Khalil Ur Rehman are nothing new. They not only aims to demean women in our society but also to dismiss the years of hard work and progress they have had to fight tooth and nail for. So, for a TV show, with a female host no less, to invite such a man to talk about women’s issues serves no purpose other than some cheap thrills. It is a matter of shame for a channel that likes to proclaim that they are the country’s number one channel to be using such underhanded tactics.
