We’re all familiar with Momina Mustehsan, right? I mean, agar MangoBaaz parh rahe ho toh you’re definitely familiar with her.
She’s the ~afreen~ apple of our eyes…
…and an overall bundle of cuteness.
Oh, and she’s SUPER talented too.
Now, while Momina is a star, she’s also someone who has a life in general. She’s just a girl, like many of us, at the end of the day. There are days when she probably wants to chill indoors while binge eating. Similarly, there are probably days when she wants to go all out and dress up all fancy.
Well, here’s a picture from when she decided on the latter.
Yeah, I’m gonna repost the picture for you guys to look at once again. Meanwhile, I’ll be retrieving my jaw from the floor.
She posted the picture with this super inspirational caption.
Now Momina’s clearly killin’ it. She looks great and she paired a phenomenal picture up with some super wise words. However, people who saw the picture didn’t feel the same way. In fact, they had some pretty shitty things to say about her.
People seemed to have a problem with everything in the picture.
Her entire look, unfortunately, became the target of ridicule.
And people seemed to be making the exact same distasteful jokes.
People even had a problem with her make up. Matlab hadh hai.
Some people even drew parallels between her and others.
However, Momina Boss Mustehsan gave zero fucks and followed her first picture up with this one.
Equally stunning, jbtw.
But that wasn’t even the best part. Momina addressed the hate she was getting in a poised and graceful way. She shared her thoughts and feelings in the caption accompanying her picture.
Here’s what it said:
Well, there you have it. It’s official. Momina Mustehsan has no time for haters. Guess she’s too busy making a ton of money due to her talent and living her life to the fullest, you know?
However, on a more serious note, there’s a pattern here.
We spent a major chunk of last year ripping apart the women in our country by directing our hatred towards them. Celebrities like Momina, Sanam Jung, Sanam Baloch, Sadaf Kanwal, and Mahira were just a few names that were dragged through the mud for no reason. Moreover, we’ve already started this year by shaming many actresses as well. I guess we need to step back and ask ourselves if being on this supposedly high moral ground is truly worth it. Because right now, it really isn’t doing us too many favors.
Let us know what you think in the comments below. Other than the fact that we love Momina. Which you’ll point out anyway, so knock yourselves out, I guess.
