The first look of Wajahat Rauf’s ‘Chhalawa’ is out and watching it, I felt I was plunged into a mega cross between ‘Band Bajaa Baraat,’ ‘Jab We Met’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani.’ Now, that’s not necessarily a bad thing, given that shaadis is a pretty significant deal in our society too (and a deeply entrenched cultural part of who we are). The film’s first look was oozing all things wedding and glam, and we’re so happy to be seeing Azfar Rehman in a lead role opposite Mehwish Hayat!

The tantalizing cast is strong – Mehwish, Azfar along with Asad Siddiqui and Zara Noor Abbas!

The teaser introduces the characters, albeit a little vaguely – yet we get a wonderful glimpse into the vibrant film that visually leaves us incredibly impressed!
And we are FEELING this new friendship!
Both Mehwish and Zara are very, very versatile actors, and we’re expecting some pungent dosages of fine acting.
…And a dollop of shaadi music that’ll kickstart shaadi season!
