The entire country was pretty hyped up about this years’ Independence Day. Naya Pakistan and all that, you know? However, while everyone was busy painting their faces green, Maulana Fazal-Ur-Rehman was painting a different picture altogether.
Following his defeat in the recent General Elections, Maulana Saab had announced that he would not be celebrating this years’ Independence Day due to his reservations about there being discrimination in the electoral system.
“We will not celebrate 14 August as Independence Day of Pakistan 2018 but as Struggle Day”, Fazal Ur Rehman. Obviously , lost elections, long held blackmailing position & his cash cow-Kashmir Committee. Sorry Maulana Fazl ur Rehman. Pakistanis are already celebrating Independence pic.twitter.com/M9aa3TtD7y

A tab bit extreme, maybe.
However, Pakistanis were in no mood to allow Maulana Fazal-Ur-Rehman ruin their Independence Day spirit, so they took to social media. And the trolling began.

Happy Independence Day to my fellow Pakistani all over the world especially to Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman who is not celebrating this independence day due to his mental illness.
