As a desi, one can travel to Dubai for not as much as the rest of the world can cost. The proximity helps. And we all know about how Dubai is a second home to Pakistanis, with everything that isn’t as easily available here at home being widely on sale in Dubai. It doesn’t hurt that the city is also the shopping capital of the world.
So, anyway, I recently traveled to Dubai. Yeah, there’s nothing special about that but check this out, I got to laze around in the First Class lounge of Emirates
We were taken on a trip, courtesy of Emirates and they were generous enough to have us spend time at their First Class Lounge while waiting for our flight.

The place absolutely blew me away

I mean, just LOOK AT THIS
The place is luxurious AF and you get to avail all of the best food, desserts, drinks and comforts that you can imagine.

Upon arrival, we were greeted by two very smartly dressed ladies from Emirates who introduced themselves as our hosts
Well, because we were on the trip courtesy of Emirates so we got the special treatment ???

And we were whisked off on a tour of the First Class and the Business Class Lounges
You can buy the best delicacies from around the world in the various exclusive shops located within the First Class Lounge, separate from the rest of the Dubai Duty Free.
As soon as we entered the heavenly lounge, like the mufta khor we are, we attacked the food. There’s a free buffet offering lunch, dinner and breakfast for all times of the day. And chefs are at hand to cook you food to your choice, as well.

Because we were really hungry, we made our way to the Sushi counter

The helpful chefs at the counter explained the fish and where they sourced them from, to us
And we got ourselves some of the world’s best kachi machi

For parents there are places for mothers to get their babies to sleep and spend time with them separately

Don’t forget the restaurants, dessert places, children play areas, sleeping pods and spas that are all part of the First Class Lounge.
And then we visited the Business Class Lounge
Which is just as amazing as the First Class one, in my broke-ass shoda opinion.

Here they also have restaurants, spas and relaxing areas

And the whole place is just as breathtakingly luxurious

Having received a personal tour from some of the most kind Emirates team members, I sure have to say this was my shoda self’s best memory of the year, so far. I hope I’ve made you guys jealous enough 😉
