‘Parchi’ just dropped their trailer and it’s an exciting time for the Pakistani film industry. With more and more films coming out, there is a considerable growth in our industry. Not to forget that the production quality, storyline, cinematography has all improved by a hundredfold, and its all still improving. With ‘Parchi’ comes a whole different kind of film. It’s thrilling, it’s funny and the biggest change that this film is bringing about? The female lead: the uber talented Hareem Farooq.
Hareem plays a don in the film which is unlike any Pakistani film we’ve seen
By playing Eman, a female don, in the film, Hareem is changing the game for women in the Pakistani film industry. While before, women were only considered dainty, fragile, side characters whose only job was to give barhawa and support to the male lead, Hareem has taken the reins into her whole hands. We are absolutely pleasantly surprised with this new avatar.
She’s seen with two lead men in the movie: Usman Mukhtar and Ali Rehman Khan
While we’re unclear about the story, it seems pretty interesting already.
She has this bomb song in the film
‘Billo Hai’ has come out and is all set to be the biggest shaadi anthem of the year!
And she’s an all-out superstar
Hareem also happens to be one of the producers of the film. With her past production, coupled with IRK Films, being the biggest hit of 2016, she’s all set to make 2018 start off with an absolute bang
The film is apparently about a group of guys struggling to save their lives, running for their lives from the antagonist, Zodiac
The good old Islamabad crew in this film really is all kinds of wonderful
Now if only we had Osman Khalid Butt in this image as well, it would’ve been perfect. But it’s okay, he was too busy choreographing this beauty of a song!
With past productions with the same team, under Shahbaz Shigri’s direction, this film is set to be pretty amazing
The same actors gave us short films like ‘Sole Search’ and ‘Slackistan’, so we can’t wait to see what else is in store.
There is also everyone’s favourite cutie Ahmed Ali Akbar being, well, cute (read: super cute)
There’s bromance and suspense, there’s love and thrill
And there’s also a cameo, in the trailer, by everyone’s favorite funny woman: Faiza Saqlain
We can’t wait to see more of Hareem and the rest of the boys in ‘Parchi’
