Fawad Chaudhry is almost always grabbing headlines these days. Recently he was applauded for wonderfully standing up for minorities after the Atif R Mian debacle, where he was removed from PTI’s Economic Advisory Council for being an Ahmedi. More recently, The Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting tweeted about ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ but it was apparently an inaccurate piece of information.
Fawad Chaudhry congratulated Pakistani film ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ for being the first movie to be screened in Saudi Arabia in an increased effort of globalization for Pakistani films
He also mentioned how “more films and more screenings around the world” are to be expected in the near future.
Pakistani movie “Perwaz Hai Janoon” ll be first Pak commercial movie to be screened in #SaudiArabia on 11th October, more films and more screenings around the word in coming months Inshallah #MOIB

Whoops
However, actress Hareem Farooq quickly stepped in to correct the Federal Minister
It wasn’t ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon,’ but ‘Parchi’ that takes the spot for being the first Pakistani film to release in Saudi Arabia. She politely congratulated the former film regardless as she lauded the “flourishing” of Pakistani cinema.
With all due respect sir, just want to let u know that our film #Parchi was actually the 1st Pakistani film to commercially release in #Saudia in Jan 2018. Nonetheless it makes me extremely happy to see our cinema flourishing! Congrats to #phj 👏🏻😃@Irkfilms @ImranRazaKazmi1 https://t.co/blfMmDbaLF

BUT APPARENTLY, SHE’S WRONG TOO LOL
A few Twitter users responded to Hareem’s correction, stating ‘Parchi’ was released in the embassy confinements as opposed to the cinema
I saw the movie in "Pakistan embassy " 🙂 this one will be screened in cinema 🙂 difference 🙂

By commercial he meant first movie to be released in cinema…Parchi would be the first Pakistani movie to be released in KSA but in embassy…No one is taking any credit so let's celebrate the success of Pakistan's film industry in KSA rather than criticizing his statement 🙂

I think Parchi was released in embassy only. Commercially means in different cinemas.

Others decided to use this moment to declare their love for ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ over ‘Parchi’
Don't be jealous please, Parwaz hai junoon is better than parchi.
