Anti-frizz serums just don’t seem to cut it in extremely hot and humid weather. Spending hours doing your hair to have it become completely ruined the moment you leave your house is a total bummer. Here are 13 easy hairstyles for the humid weather to help fend off frizzy, poofy hair.

1. Braided Mohawk Ponytail

For this hairstyle, start by brushing and gently teasing your hair all the way through to make it look messy. Gather hair back and take a 3-inch section in the center of your scalp, a smaller, 2-inch section behind the first section towards the right, and a third section on the left side of the second section. Loosely dutch braid the hair until you reach the back of the crown. Without securing it, gently pull apart each strand of the braid to create a messier look. Secure the braid with a clear elastic. Gather all of the hair towards the crown and tie it into a ponytail. Secure it with an elastic. Take a strand from the pony and wrap it around the elastic. Secure with a bobby pin and you’re all set.

2. Top Knot

For this super trendy hairstyle, start by brushing your hair all the way through. Make two parts in your scalp – one on the left edge of your head and one on the right edge. Gather all the hair between the two parts and tightly comb upwards. Twist the hair tightly into a pony and wrap on the top of your head –  the higher, the better. Secure with an elastic and bobby pins.

This hairstyle looks difficult but is actually super easy.  Place an elastic headband around your head so that the top is over the forehead and the bottom is right behind the ears and around the bottom of your head. Next, take your hair, bring it up towards the headband, and tuck it deep into the headband so that a loose pouf of hair is left out. Secure the tucked hair with the headband, an elastic, or bobby pins, and pull and shape the pouf as much as you want.
