People Are Now Getting Married In Hunza Instead Of Places Like Turkey And It's Actually Kinda Cool

By Momina Mindeel | 11 May, 2017

Shaadi is something that literally everyone has gone to, even if not experienced it, yet. After all, it is one of the most important moments in some people’s lives. There are people who want just the most lavish, grand, fancy weddings with the whole city invited as guests.

Increasingly, there are folks who want to get married in destinations that are as beautiful as the wedding’s set up, maybe even more so.

Usually, it’s people going to international venues for their destination wedding

But destination wedding is a concept that hardly anyone dislikes provided there are no budget constraints and the hassle of organizing a shaadi at such a big scale.

But people are now getting their “destination wedding” in Hunza

The story behind Hunza On Foot’s creation is one of passion and peace. According to the founder Naveed Khan, “about a year ago I left my full time job in search of some peace and to rid myself of everything that was wrong. I found this peace, as well as myself in the Karakoram mountain range that’s spread between Hunza and Khunjerab. Maybe you can find this peace too!

While I will try to organize tours that are as comfortable as possible, there will be times when you will have to rough it out. Hunza On Foot is not just any other tour – and while it is by no means the toughest tour out there (that can be arranged though), it’s planned so you slow yourself down so much that you have no other choice but to soak in everything around you. Something that will never happen if you drive on by.”

The best thing is that the company is claiming to be environmentally conscious so as to make sure your destination wedding isn’t hurting the environment

I MEAN WHO WOULDN’T WANT TO GET MARRIED HERE?

I am just going to leave this breathtaking image here for you while you go plan your destination wedding
