Imran Khan married his third wife Bushra Maneka in February this year.
And as usual, people were incredibly curious about the entire affair and wanted to know as much as they could. But his wife, Bushra Maneka observes strict purdah and has no social media presence which makes it tricky to get more information into their marriage.
As a result, any news related to the first lady is what anyone really even talks about and at times even gets blown out of proportion. And in the latest controversy, instead of Bushra Maneka, the focus is on her daughter Mehru Hayat.
There have been rumours floating around that Mehru Hayat has been appointed as an advisor to the Prime Minister on Women Empowerment.
But that’s not even the most shocking part since she has been an official member of Pakistan Teheek-e-Insaf for a while.
The most shocking part is the exorbitant salary she will be receiving, which is 7.5 Lakhs a month according to the rumor.
Bushra BiBi daughter Mehru has been appointed adviser to PM on women empowerment with a salary of Rs 750,000 a month

The official account for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Pakistan tweeted that this was not true and was, in fact, fake news.

There were also some other accusations of nepotism against the government with a rumor floating around that Zulfi Bukhari’s sister has been appointed as the head of the Benazir Income Support Program. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry tweeted about this being fake news.
But he did not address the rumor about Mehru Hayat which has further fueled speculation.
A series of Fake notifications and news is systematically spread on social media, it started from a media dinner picture and now there is a series of such rubbish. Without effecting freedom on SM we need to take strict action against fake news. https://t.co/QRaQYBreRm
