Bilal Abbas Khan made his appearance in Pakistani TV dramas over a year ago. He captured hearts and made many fall in love with how cute he is and his personality. It was his performance in the drama ‘O Rungreza’ that left a mark on a lot of people’s minds. His character was complex in that show, and he truly was amazing. However ever since then, he hasn’t come in a new show.
We actually did miss seeing him on our TV screens.
His last performance left a lot to be desired. Bilal really showed his acting skills in the show and we all just wanted to see more of that.
Well, the wait is over; Bilal Abbas Khan is starring in a new show called ‘Balaa’ and the first episode is out too!
The show follows two families and how their dynamic works out, in terms of family politics and naraazgiyan.
One family features Samina Peerzada as the Amma, and Taimur (yup, you guessed it, Bilal Abbas Khan). They have a Taya Abu (Sajid Hasan). This Taya Abu has two children, Nigar (Ushna Shah) and Junaid (Asad Siddiqui).
The show revolves around Nigar who is evil through and through. She’s born with a limp and she uses that to get her father to do her dirty work. She’s able to hold his heart so strongly that he neglects his son, so much so, that he begins the process of removing Junaid from his inheritance rights. The father-daughter duo is shown as rather pompous and full of themselves.
It is because of this that Taimur and his family despise their Taya Abu and his family.
In comparison to Taimur’s family, Nigar’s family is that typical type of family that is out to get out the most jaidaad, and also the type of rishtedaar who’re just annoying and blood sucking for the sake of it.
Bilal’s character, at least for now, is pretty sweet and seedha saadha and mama’s boy type. Ushna on the other hand, is sweet and not so scary on the surface, but she’s actually just trying to get her way with her family. She dreams of marrying Taimur, but now he’s rejected her, so now we know her next target.

Bilal catches your eye with his acting and his character’s fun personality. It’s such a treat to see him come back on screen. It will be very interesting to see how his character evolves and grows as the show progresses.
