Aamir Liaquat always has the most interesting Ramazan transmissions, to say the least. To say that he has kept us entertained throughout the years is a bit of an understatement, and to all of you who have been lucky enough to watch his shows, you know exactly what we mean.

Last year he called Taher Shah to his show and made fun of him.

And it wasn’t the first time, either

Well, this year he invited our lovely Meera jee to his show

And honestly? The ‘interview’ he conducted didn’t seem to go all that well

The ‘interview’ doesn’t start off too bad, but goes south very fast – and we mean FAST. Aamir bhai makes her stand in one spot and sets up a challenge for her. The challenge? Meera had to prove if she could ever be an ‘achi, gharelo bahu’ She had to tell him how she could be a good ‘aurat aur biwi.’

Yeah, you heard that right.

He kept going on about her being a ‘bahu and gharelu,’ and basically forced her into giving answers to his extremely cringe-worthy questions.

Meera was obviously in a tight spot and was forced to give him the answers he so badly wanted to hear. Those answers included safai, khana pakana, pocha aur bachay paida karna.  As she kept giving him answers, Aamir Liaquat kept getting more and more…uh, excited? Marriage, according to him, clearly only means handling ghar ke kaam and kids. Nice. The crowd was riled up, Aamir Liaquat was riled up and Meera jee was standing there, quite evidently embarrassed and awkward. To make matters worse, Aamir Liaquat announced that he will find Meera a husband on his show. Why? Because Aamir bhai works in mysterious ways.

People were clearly NOT happy with his behavior

And they weren’t afraid to call him out on it

Some called it ‘sasti shohrat’ 

Others wondered how this behavior could possibly fall in line with Ehtaram-e-Ramazan

Some viewers took to name-calling

They called out Aamir Liaquat on his lack of respect for women, too

Should this type of behavior be allowed on such a public platform? Or at all, for that matter? It seems a bit unfortunate that this won’t really affect his viewership and ratings. In fact – it will probably boost them. All we can do is wait, watch and hope he doesn’t go overboard with anyone else.
