Ever since Junoon called it quits back in the mid-2000s audiences have been craving for a reunion. With Ali Azmat having a lucrative solo career and Salman Ahmad moving towards activism, a reunion seemed like a distant possibility. There was a semi-reunion back in 2011 to celebrate the band’s 20th Anniversary, however, Ali Azmat decided not to join his brothers in arms. For the most part, he has always shut down the possibility of any complete reunion. Well in a dramatic twist of fate, this time around Ali Azmat is the one
In a post on his official Facebook page, the lead singer of the band popped the question
…Well, Ali, I don’t know? EVERYONE?
For obvious reasons people were excited as hell
Even fans from across the border shared their enthusiasm
For some people, the news was just too good to be true
Meanwhile, Salman Ahmad had this to say
There are no impossible dreams only infinite possibilities. We are 5 cases away from Polio Zero, once that is done.. https://t.co/tRSwdeY5Rh

This just keeps getting better and better considering that just a few years ago Polio was at its peak with numerous cases being reported every year. This year only five cases have been reported which in many ways is a win for the entire nation. Considering the band’s charitable activities over the course of its career with constant collaboration with NGOs it would be very apt to see a reunion when Pakistan has rid itself of deadly ideas like Polio.
