Aiman Khan was Samina Peerzada’s next guest on her online show ‘Rewind With Samina Peerzada’ in a very cute post-marriage interview. In an all-tell, Aiman divulged how Muneeb was her first love, how she handled all the criticism about the number of shaadi functions and intimate details about her relationship with Muneeb!
Aiman said that she and Muneeb were first and foremost friends, and wife and husband after.
They first met on set four years ago and got engaged soon after in a grand ceremony. When asked about the number of events she had for that EPIC grand wedding, she said that she and Muneeb always wanted to have different functions and just kept planning without thinking! Aiman admitted that“hum pagal ho chuke the!” But she also had a lot of fun with her sister during all the shaadi events. When asked about how she handled all the criticism hurled her way on the number of functions Aiman revealed that it did hurt her, but then she learned to let it go, letting bygones be bygones.
Aiman was so young when she first interacted with Muneeb, that he used to call her sister!
In a hilarious confession, Aiman said that Muneeb used to refer to her as his sister, and even told her mother at one point that “yeh meri behen jaisi hai!” They became good friends first whenever they met on set initially and then that’s when their friendship blossomed into a relationship.
Aiman said that she would often hide from her mother and Minal when meeting him.
Minal wasn’t a confidant because Aiman was not willing to disclose any information about her relationship, simply because she wasn’t even sure if it would transition into something that had a future. She didn’t want to tell the world about her and Muneeb it in case it didn’t work out. It wasn’t love at first sight; “it just grew because we were really good friends.”
Aiman said how she’s used to married life but still misses her house.
The actress is very close to her siblings, and being the eldest (she’s 28 minutes older to twin Minal), she felt she had a responsibility to always keep an eye on her house even not physically being there post-marriage. Aiman’s mother would often tell her to not worry about her home anymore, and focus on her new home – but she insisted she couldn’t; her marriage has allowed her more time to spend time with her mother and siblings more so than before when she was working.
