Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is due to undergo bypass surgery this Tuesday and social media is full of well wishers sending good thoughts to the PM and his family.
In the midst of it all, Adeel Hashmi tweeted this.
Adeel hashmi ne tweet pr apologize kiya 1/2 pic.twitter.com/ENVVnC1IE2
— Pti Spain Official (@ptiespofficial) May 30, 2016
Needless to say twitter exploded, with people from either side calling out Adeel Hashmi on his rather unscrupulous tweet.
Some threatened to switch service providers and shit hit the fan

This guy officially certified Adeel’s kanjar status

Then came this lecture on morality and ethics
Adeel hashmi doesn't belong to an uneducated class his tweet reflects that only education doesnt make us literate
— Maleeha Khawaja (@maleehaomarkh) May 29, 2016
Difference of opinion doesn't mean that we lose sight of humanity, compassion kindness adeel hashmi&many people like him should realize this
— Maleeha Khawaja (@maleehaomarkh) May 29, 2016
There was also confusion about which Adeel made the tweet
https://twitter.com/ranaadeem/status/736826087100055553
And somewhere along the line it went from Adeel to Adil!
However after much hate, Adeel Hashmi took down the tweet and publicly apologized.
Dear all. Let me say it again; It was a thoughtless tweet. I should've known better. For those friends who got hurt, I sincerely apologise.
— Adeel Hashmi (@AdeelHashmi3) May 27, 2016
Some called for it all to end, because people still kept on with their criticism
Guys, he's saying sorry. Lets cut him some slack shall we? https://t.co/Bl1ulVrbcA

And this guy’s apology bar is set way too high

Voices of support echoed in the twitter-sphere

Then this guy shows up, totally in love with Adeel Hashmi
@DunyaNews in the divine words of Adeel Hashmi
"Wishing Pakistan a quick recovery from its PM"— Roasted Kukarr (@MohsinX22) May 29, 2016
At the end of the day, the tweet is gone and he apologized. There shouldn’t be any more cause for anger, right?
