Shaadi season is upon us, with darsi wale losing hair and ardent women endlessly gathering whatever they can find to muster up something for the inevitable festive function that is around the corner. While fashion week trends are making rounds endless rounds, our Pakistani actresses too, have been decked and dolled up for shaadi season, serving up some inspiration for all of us – and so here is a lovely little guide for you! Oh and this season, there isn’t really a ‘set’ trend – anything and everything goes!
The simple shalwar kameez look is back in full force, with short shirts coupled with chiffon pink dupatta, as seen here on Sadia Khan

Mahira wears a dusky orange shalwar kameez, with a crimson red shalwar – a great look for a mehndi

For a darker look, take inspiration from Sajal Ali with this velvet embroidered suit – flared pants are always a great idea!

…Or you can go pure white, in this incredibly flowy and regal look seen on Hira Mani

Sanam Baloch’s look here has starkly different colors (bright with pastel), which is also a lovely experiment to try for a shaadi

Back to Hira Mani, who rocks this bubblegum look with an embellished choker, shades and a messy bun

Mahira and Haroon serve couple coordination with soft tones – who says a shaadi has to be rang barang

A chiffon draped dupatta is another look, courtsey of Ayeza Khan

How can we forget earrings – while you might think they aren’t too necessary, they really do polish up the entire look (and serve as premise for some great selfies, case in point Iqra Aziz and Bilal Abbas Khan

You can never go wrong with jhumkas,

Or more heavy pieces, like these gorgeous lengthy statement earrings on Sarah Khan

You can even match your earrings with your dress – like these fabulous leaf earrings that compliment Sadia’s kameez so perfectly!

Heavier jhumkas also mean you can go a little easy on neck pieces

…And not have to wear too many jewels if you don’t feel like it!
Also, a statement ring here or there can serve as a toast to your earrings

Sarees too are a definite go-to, with colors like creamy pinks…(that blouse though)

Or sparkling glitter and gold sarees, like this one Syra has on

We can’t not include Hira because she honestly WINS with her impeccable saree game – this gorgeous silk saree is perfect for any shaadi occasion

…And if you’re into black, you really can’t go wrong – after all, black is the new black!

Happy shaadi season!
