Playing Dua in Ehd e Wafa, Alizeh is lively and adorable. Ahad Raza Mir’s character, Saad, crushes on her heavily and gets himself into trouble. The misunderstanding between them is finally sorted out when Saad’s pet dog, Zoro serves as a matchmaker and barks at the poor girl, giving Saad a chance to clarify his position.

While Dua applies for MBBS, Saad joins PMA. Both of them meet at a bus station while returning to their home towns. And this is the point where their relationship starts. Dua is an absolute treat to watch every Sunday.

This is where 60-year-old Shakeel Abbasi enters the scene. This man, who allegedly belongs to the Nawab family of Bahawalpur, proposed to Alizeh Shah.

Never been married in his entire life, he had a major crush on Dua and couldn’t help proposing. He also offered a whopping 5000 tolas of gold if the actress agrees to marry her. And he said that he would only need a time span of two months to collect the gold.

On being asked about the age difference, Shakeel said ”Yeh tou dil ki baat hoti hai. Aur dil tou bacha hai jee.”

Also, when asked about never getting married, he replied that he didn’t like anyone enough to get married. Let’s take a second here to reiterate that Alizeh is 19 and he is 60. That’s just…extremely disturbing.

Whether he’s expecting instant fame or the prospect of actually meeting the actress, the mere thought of this proposal is extremely disturbing. Age is just a number but old men (and I mean, OLD) setting eyes on young girls is pretty off. Moreover, offering 5000 tolas of gold? I mean, that’s just absurd.
