Sarfaraz Ahmed Said Pakistani Fans Will Behave Better Than Indian Fans And Damn, Unko Aag Lag Gayi

Sarfaraz Ahmed’s comments sparked a war between fans on both sides.

In India’s match against Australia, an unsavory incident took place. Indian fans started booing Australia’s Steven Smith who’s back in action after a year-long ban for being involved in a ball-tampering scandal. The crowd was otherwise consistently chanting ‘cheater’, directed at Steven Smith. The entire incident was pretty uncomfortable but the crowd quieted down after the Indian cricket team’s captain Virat Kohli motioned for the crowd to stop.

Later on, Kohli apologized to Steven Smith on behalf of the crowd.

Recently, when Pakistan team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was asked whether Pakistani fans would behave similarly during the upcoming Australia vs Pakistan match, he confidently denied the possibility. He stated that Pakistani fans will not resort to such tactics.

He talked about how much Pakistani cricket fans love the game and the players, and thus, wouldn’t do something of the sort. This was honestly just a sweet sentiment and maybe even a sound reminder to Pakistani fans on how to behave during the match.

Here’s a complete video of the same.

But the comment wasn’t appreciated by Indians… at all. A lot of Indians were quick to remind everyone that the reason Pakistani fans won’t be booing is only because of the fact their own players have been involved in numerous high-profile scandals in the past.

But some Indians were just plain offended at Sarfaraz’s comments because they disagreed.

Some rather unsavory comments were made.

Even Sarfaraz’s English-speaking skills were ridiculed.

Honestly, we can’t say for sure how Pakistani fans will behave in the upcoming match but we can only hope that they behave the way team captain Sarfaraz is expecting them to. What do you think will happen? Let us know in the comments.
