People Are Shocked After Cricketer Gautam Gambhir Helped A Pakistani Girl Get Indian Visa

By Maryam Khalid | 23 Oct, 2019

Gautam Gambhir, a former Indian cricketer, is pretty well-known for hate-mongering Pakistan. He spares no chance to strengthen his anti-Pak narrative, even when tensions are already escalated.

Gautam Gambir has rarely said anything positive about Pakistan in the past

Like how he has lashed out at Shahid Afridi many times for merely expressing his concern over the Kashmir situation.

Once, Gautam urged the world to stop supporting Pakistan with financial aid.

Yeah, you wish.

In another interview, he asked the Indian Cricket Board to boycott the India Pakistan match in the World Cup earlier this year

So much hate speech concentrated into just one Gautam Gambhir.

Provided this record, everybody was surprised when he helped a Pakistani girl to get treated in India

A six-year-old Pakistani girl, Omaima Ali, got able to avail of medical treatment in India due to Gautam’s efforts for their visas. He received a phone call from Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Yousuf requesting a visa for the girl who had earlier undergone treatment at a hospital in Noida and needed open-heart surgery as soon as possible.

Gambhir mentioned that he had a problem with the government, the ISI and terrorist groups in Pakistan but had no grudge against the people across the border

“If a six-year-old girl can get treatment in India, what better than this can happen?” he said.

Can you believe this?

Making a 180 degrees turn to whatever you’ve supporting throughout life, is truly astonishing. Whatever the motive was, Gautam’s act of helping out a child in need is surely commendable. No matter which side of the border you belong, everyone needs to have this humanitarian approach, considering humans above of all nationalistic and racial prejudices.

So what do you appreciate his intervention? Let us know in the comments.
